Aprilia Adelina Barus: Best Talent Category of Andalas University Award 2016



 

Padang (6/10)— one year ago, Andalas University holds UNAND Award 2016.
Some appreciations gave to the students and the lecturer in Andalas University who had excellent achievement which is in their education, activeness of organization, etc.
                One of the students of Andalas University who is from Medical faculty named Aprilia Adelina Barus (20) is one of the students who are the winner of UNAND Award 2016 in best talent category. At first, she knows that Unand will do UNAND Award 2016 from a brochure.


             She said” at first, I get a brochure about UNAND Award 2016. I see that there are some contest to be a student for best creative, best talent, best speaker, and also best favorite. And that time, I am interested in see best creative and best talent because I think that I have talent and I am interested in something which is creativity. In my opinion, I have a chance to express my strength in a positive way.”
                The requirements to join or following UNAND Award are every participant is a student who stills studying in Andalas University, your mark of transcriptions, and make an essay. In that moment, Aprilia choose to makes an essay about education. And there are some steps to be the winner in UNAND Award such as potential academic test, interview test, debate test, makes a work test, and the last is talent show test.
                The duration of grading process is three weeks. Aprilia said that to winning in UNAND Award, she has to have a confidence, pray to God, and be ourselves. She also helped by her friends for the preparations in UNAND Award. She makes a small Medicines suit and stethoscope at the creative test. And at the talent show, she sings a Sumatera Utara traditional song which the title is Butet.
                She also says some messages to the young generation to be more creative people.
“If we see that there is a chance and we have a high willing, you have to do that. And then anything that you do, you have to do that as maximal as you can do. And the most important thing is being you.” She adds.

Heavy Rain Caused Flooding In The Building.

  Padang -- The heavy rain that was happen on Monday (21/08) caused flood as tall as an adult's ankle in D.1.1 until D.1.5 lecture building in Andalas University. One of the student (Jihan [19]), who is want to pass the place feel disturbed enough because she have to open her shoes before pass the place. " My feelings are indifferent, but a bit difficult to walk on. I must open my shoes at first, so that my shoes don't get wet.
